At Christmas, we look back together with you on the past year. We reflect on all the pleasant moments, the learning processes, but also the occasions that made us realize how fragile we are. In a world of pressure, haste, stress, and high expectations, we sometimes forget ourselves or lose our way, causing our body and mind to ask for reflection and rest. The human body is like a battery that needs to be recharged from time to time before we completely run out.
Christmas is also a time for AIDA Belgium to support families in times of loss, thank all our active instructors who have once again committed themselves to promoting our sport, commend the athletes for their achievements, and thank our sponsors for their long-standing cooperation. We do not reflect enough on how intertwined this community is, a necessary support and refuge where one can find reflection and peace, and on which we can build!

This year, AIDA Belgium organized trips to Thorn, Plate Taille, la Rochefontaine, and Vodelée. We organized the trip to Turkey and revived the Memorial Philippe Desitter. We also highlight the diving school Abyss for realizing the AIDA STA Mini Comp in Longchamp and look forward to the big freedivers meeting organized by Thierry Hustin in la Rochefontaine.
… even though the quarries are closed, Christmas is also a time to spend with friends… Take good care of yourself and your family, we toast to a Merry Christmas and a new 2025 full of new dreams.
