Welcome to our new Board!

The new Board of AIDA Belgium embodies a strong desire to redefine the contours of competitive freediving in Belgium, in line with today’s societal challenges. Consisting of experienced and committed professionals, our team works at all levels—educational, community, local, and international—to make our discipline grow with rigor, humanity, and innovation.

Our approach is based on an inclusive and accessible vision of freediving, where every practitioner, regardless of age, gender, language, or physical condition, can find their place. We actively encourage the participation of seniors and people with disabilities by adapting training and competitions to their specific needs. We also want to develop synergy between swimming pools and natural dive sites in order to enrich practices and athletes’ experiences.

A team with global outreach

Our members are recognized for their expertise in teaching, safety, high-level coaching, and event management. They maintain strong ties with international federations, judges, sponsors, volunteers, sports organizations, and professional equipment suppliers. This cross-disciplinary approach allows us to promote Belgian freediving on the world stage, while modernizing the way AIDA Belgium operates.

The federation aims to strengthen exchanges between clubs and federations to promote cohesion and avoid tensions between different language communities. It is committed to promoting freediving to the general public through awareness-raising activities, introductory workshops, and accessible training courses. It facilitates networking among Belgian freedivers to encourage collaboration, the sharing of experiences, and the emergence of joint projects. Finally, AIDA Belgium will do its best to support its athletes at all levels, enabling them to shine on the international stage.
